Press-release>>
Extraordinary beautiful landscapes of the Nikolo-Lenivets region are all-sufficient in their beauty. One could be sure there is no appropriate human invention to come up with them. Since vital activity of a human being as a user is limited with his/her resources, strength, landscape opportunities there is always some kind of frontier space somewhere at the periphery of his/her potential where he or she faces a conflict. This year we offer to include the theme of this conflict into vital and intellectual activity of users. The theme ’Frontier’ is an opportunity to work at the interfaces between contemporary art and architecture: in a country landscape of Nikolo-Lenivets region and inside the open-air museum, in the wildlife preservation and at the same time at the outskirts of the village, in the actively developing complex but situated in the deep province, inside formed original environment, original social structure, at the territory striving to develop it’s own charisma covering various social and cultural levels. Nikolay Polissky the genius of the place and Adriaan Geuze, a Holland guru of environmental design from the highprofile West8 company are realizing their ideas on the subject. By the end of their work a special festive event is going to be arranged providing all those interested with an opportunity to appreciate the new exhibits of the amazing museum and to get acquainted with artifacts of the passed seminar. International seminar Infinity in Russia is held from July 18 to August 5, 2007. Young specialists in humanitarian spheres from 7 European countries including Russia are invited to use arts as the means of European-Russian intercommunication. In comfortable communicational atmosphere they’ll provide a critical overlook of the new portrait of the country. The main task of the project is to involve young people into the process of working out of actual development strategies of contemporary cultural landscape in Russia on the basis of international and intercultural collaboration.
