Party, happiness is the basic thesis of Maslenitsa or winter’s send-off. “Lady” is a grand wooden sculpture that rises above the field… Spectators disappear behind her skirt and appear again going down from the slide enjoying these last moments of winter-time activity and joy that fade away. “Lady” is large-scale like everything in Russia.
