Outside the land

It seems that we know the forest. We know what forest is when it’s windy and when it’s still, we can imagine it during hurricane, but we also know that under no condition trees in the forest will make regular, uniform, synchronous motions.

At this point opens the territory of impossible, different. Kinetic project by Oscar Madera studies this phenomenon. The project makes the visitor to feel this space created by nature, but organized with the help of swinging trees’ tops which are being moved by hydraulic plunger. Thus a new spatial image is created without introducing “new matter”, and emptiness organized by swinging trees attracts keen interest and attention.

The object was dismantled after the festival.
